Next January, the Brussels Motor Show kicks off at Brussels Expo, and this time with a major boost for everyone driving electric. D'Ieteren Energy, the energy division of the well-known automotive group, is rolling out a massive charging park across the Heysel parking lots. We're talking no fewer than 178 charging points, spread over various car parks like C, M, B and the others – right where most visitors leave their cars.
That includes three fast chargers, each with two DC connections for that quick boost, plus 86 double AC stations delivering 172 points in total. Everything will be up and running by the opening on 9 January 2026, so you can top up your electric vehicle without any worries while checking out the latest models inside. And the best part: after the show, all those chargers stay put, perfect for concerts, fairs or any other event on the site.
In the past, it was a bit of a struggle with just a handful of charging spots nearby, often leading to frustration when your battery ran low after a day wandering around. Now, this becomes one of the largest public charging parks in Belgium, and it feels like a genuine relief. It fits seamlessly with what D'Ieteren Energy has been doing for years: offering a full package with charging cards, home solutions, solar panels and batteries, all to make electric driving simpler and more accessible.
Because electric driving is the future, and with infrastructure like this, the last excuse for not switching vanishes. You drive in silence, with power, no exhaust fumes and a grin because your fuel bill is basically zero. This charging park shows Belgium is seriously committed to electromobility, especially in places where crowds gather.
It's a smart move, as the Motor Show draws hundreds of thousands of visitors, and more and more of them arrive in an EV. You can now spend the whole day on test drives and dreaming over the exhibits, knowing your car is quietly filling up outside. And for the doubters: yes, it works, it's reliable, and it's only getting better.
