Hurry Up for the Tax Reduction on Charging Stations
Are you planning to buy a charging station for your electric or plug-in hybrid car? Then it's wise to act quickly if you still want to benefit from the 15% tax reduction. This arrangement expires on September 1, 2024.
Financial Benefits for Employees
Most people who receive an electric or plug-in hybrid car from their employer can count on a financial contribution towards the installation costs of a wallbox or charging station. If you don't have a company car or your employer doesn't offer a charging installation, now is the time to order a charging system.
Tax Reduction Details
Until August 31, 2024, you can enjoy a 15% tax deduction, with a maximum of €1,750 per charging station per taxpayer. This means you can save up to €262.50. For those who want to install a future-proof, bidirectional charging station, the upper limit is €8,000, which offers a maximum tax saving of €600.
Important Date
The invoice date is crucial, not the installation or registration date. When filing your tax return for 2025, you must have a certification of conformity.
Conditions
-
Green Energy: The charging station must be powered by green energy, coming from your own solar panels, a green energy supplier, or a combination of both.
-
Intelligent Charging Station: The system must be "intelligent," connected to a management system that regulates and records the charging time and power.
So, if you still want to take advantage of these tax benefits, make sure to arrange your purchase and installation as soon as possible!
