The Chinese car manufacturer Zeekr has offered a glimpse of its upcoming model in the form of an all-electric sedan known as the 007.
Zeekr, owned by Geely, has made a name for itself in recent years with the release of the 001 Shooting Brake, the 009 MPV, and the X SUV. Each of these vehicles stands out from the competition with their intriguing designs, and it appears that the 007 will do the same, featuring a sleek and sporty design that sets it apart from the company's other models.
A teaser of the front shows that the sedan will have two thin LED light bars and an illuminated badge, with two smaller LEDs positioned below these light bars. A side profile shot of the car doesn't reveal much, but the presence of a bump above the windshield indicates it's equipped with LiDAR. Visible at the rear is an LED light bar, an illuminated Zeekr emblem, and a particularly flowing and curvaceous decklid. Car News China reports that the Zeekr 007 will measure 4,865 mm (191.5 inches) in length, 1,900 mm (74.8 inches) in width, and stand 1,450 mm (57 inches) tall with a 2,928 mm (115.2-inch) wheelbase. It will be underpinned by the Geely and Volvo PMA2+ platform with an 800-volt architecture and include double-wishbone suspension.
Zeekr is expected to sell the 007 with a single electric motor rated at 204 hp and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) of torque, although it is not yet known if this model will be front- or rear-wheel drive. Regardless, it will apparently accelerate to 62 mph (100 km/h) in a swift 6.5 seconds and take approximately 30 minutes to fully charge. Details regarding its battery pack are not yet known. The carmaker will commence pre-sales of the 007 at the Guangzhou Auto Show on November 17, but pricing has not yet been confirmed.
Zeekr seems to be making an impression once again with their new model, and the 007 promises to be an exciting addition to their growing lineup of electric vehicles. With its striking design and advanced technologies, it's an interesting option for car enthusiasts looking for an electric sedan with a touch of sportiness. We look forward to more details about this promising car.
