Li Auto's New Electric MPV, the Li Mega - Price, Specifications, and Sales Details
Li Auto has revealed that their highly anticipated fully electric MPV, the Li Mega, will hit the market starting from March 1, 2024. The vehicle will be offered for less than 600,000 yuan (84,700 USD) and promises exciting features and specifications for car enthusiasts.
Pre-sale and Upgrades:
The pre-sale of the Li Mega commenced on November 17 during the Guangzhou Auto Show. For orders placed before the March 1, 2024 launch, Li Auto is offering a complimentary upgrade from the standard 7 kW AC charging post to the 20 kW DC charging post, valued at 10,000 yuan (1,400 USD).
Specifications and Dimensions:
The Mega is positioned as a spacious MPV with dimensions of 5350/1965/1850 mm and a wheelbase of 3300 mm. Li Auto claims to have a low aerodynamic drag coefficient of 0.215Cd, expected to be the lowest among mass-produced MPVs.
Propulsion and Performance:
The Li Mega is powered by a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system, with the maximum power of the front and rear motors being 155 kW and 245 kW, respectively. The car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds and has a top speed of 180 km/h.
Battery and Charging Capability:
The battery, sourced from CATL’s Qilin 5C ternary lithium battery pack with a capacity of 102.7 kWh, provides an impressive CLTC cruising range of 710 km and a comprehensive power consumption of 15.9 kWh/100 km. Additionally, the Li Mega supports 5C ultra-fast charging with an 800-volt architecture and a peak charging capacity of 552 kW, allowing a 500 km range replenishment in just 12 minutes.
Interior Features:
Internally, the Li Mega boasts a modern interior with a four-spoke steering wheel, a 4.82-inch LCD instrument panel integrated with the steering wheel, a 15.7-inch central control screen, and a 15.7-inch co-pilot entertainment screen. The Nappa leather-clad seats and the 7-seater layout in a 2+2+3 configuration offer comfort and luxury to occupants.
