Nio completed the first 10 million swaps over four years, and remarkably, the subsequent 10 million swaps took just nine months to accomplish. The milestone of 30 million swaps was reached in early October, a mere six months later.

Now, one might wonder why not everyone is rushing to purchase a Nio EV. The answer lies in the price tag. Swapping an empty battery for a full one in a matter of minutes is an appealing idea, but there's a catch: you need to own a Nio vehicle, and Nio cars are not budget-friendly. In Belgium, for example, the cheapest Nio available is the Nio ET5, which starts at around 50,000 euros, and that doesn't even include the cost of the battery. With that kind of budget, you could also explore the offerings of established luxury automakers like BMW and Mercedes, brands with impeccable reputations.
