Dacia's New Spring: Affordable EV with Improved Design and Functionality

Dacia, part of the Renault Group, has built a reputation as a manufacturer of affordable cars with simple yet functional design. Their latest addition, the Spring, represents a step forward in electric mobility without increasing the price tag. Launched in 2021 as the cheapest EV on the European market, the expected successor by summer 2024 stays true to this aim.

With a length of 3.7 meters, the Spring retains its compact and agile character, while its high ground clearance makes it suitable for various road conditions. Though the design closely resembles that of its predecessor, nearly all body panels have been renewed, with striking details such as light blocks and protections giving it a more rugged and modern appearance.

Inside, the interior has been significantly upgraded, with a noticeable increase in finishing quality. The top version, Extreme, now features a centrally placed 10-inch infotainment screen. Safety equipment has been expanded, and in terms of propulsion, the familiar 45 and 65 hp motors remain available. The battery capacity remains unchanged at 26.8 kWh, providing a range of around 220 kilometers.

The Spring embodies Dacia's commitment to making innovative solutions accessible to a wide audience, while remaining true to its core values of affordability and functionality.
