Ineos Fusilier: A Familiar Face

With just a glance, the Ineos Fusilier is easily recognizable as a relative of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class. This similarity is not coincidental, as both vehicles are manufactured by Magna Steyr in Graz. It almost suggests that the Austrian manufacturers secretly passed on the blueprints of the G to Ineos…

A Unique Identity

However, the Fusilier, whether propelled by an electric motor or equipped with an optional range extender, stands out with its own characteristics. It is slightly more modest in size compared to the imposing Grenadier (and the G-Class). The vehicle rests on an entirely new platform, where the Samsung battery is an integral part of the structure. This construction is made of high-quality steel, while aluminum has been chosen for the doors, hood, and tailgate.

Electric Innovation

Although the electric propulsion of the Ineos Fusilier was already known, the British company surprises today by announcing that a version with a range extender will also be available. In this case, a small gasoline engine will take on the role of generator. This concept, previously seen on models such as the BMW i3 REX and the Mazda MX-30 R-EV, is thus adopted in an unexpected manner.

Future Revelations and Pricing

Exact specifications will be revealed later this year. Prices remain a mystery until 2026, when production will actually begin. Ineos seems to be ahead of the curve with this announcement
